The zoom won't even extend out.Įven when I Tried to start from the beginning, I would connect my camera, but when it came to verifying connection between camera and computer, there's nothing at all. The screen is black, the camera won't turn on even though the green light is always on for on/off. Some said, to just keep trying to update the firmware. I searched the internet, and tried various methods, but to no avail. I notice there's also a red light on the corner of the battery slot. The green light for (on/off) always stays on when connected to power such as USB, or if the battery is in place. I removed the battery, USB when it was connected to my computer, but now my camera won't even turn on anymore.

and I tried to upgrade from firmware v 1.10 to 1.20 on my Mac OSX 10.10.4. But hey, I figure I should update the firmware. It was working fine, taking great pictures. If you have a netgear router it should be plain sailing from there as I'm familiar with the interface.I have an RX100m3. Assign it to the IP address which is shown in your network settings in the Denon's GUI, disable any wireless security temporarily, and Roberts your father's brother!Ĭlear as mud? lol any further ?'s just ask mate. Once you have done that, you can select it to allow either incoming or outgoing connections. Now, in your services, you need to assign the Denon to TCP port 23. In my case, the 4308 was assigned 192.168.0.2, but I have Azureus set up with port forwarding, which I had foegotten about.and it just happened to be the same address! d'oh! You need to be aware of any other components or programmes which may be trying to access the same IP address as your Denon. Log in to your router.which do you have? I have a netgear, and i'm pretty sure a lot have the same default I.P gateway.so in ur web addy bar type:ġ92.168.0.1 or however method you log in.Ĭheck your firewall rules or settings. Thanks for the info though, I guess if I get no further info I will have to get the pen and papper out to make a note of all my settings and try the reset.

I was really expecting that ability to be available via the 3808 web server interface but it looks like that piece software was a real rush job and well below the quality you would expect from a piece of high end gear like the Denon3808. It is a pitty you cant save the current 3808 configuration somewhere, do the reset thing, then restore the config. I have even set the Denon up as a DMZ so it is fully open to the net but still no go. I am getting Internet Radio streaming ok and can see the Denon on my network so I am pretty confident the network side of things is set up correctly.

I have emailed Denon for an explanation of what "Login Failed" actually means and if they know of any router settings I may have to tweak but, as yet, I have had no response.

I will leave that as a last resort as I cannot see for the life of me what doing a reset has got to do with being able to login to the download server. I have not tried the reset approach as I did not want to lose all my settings.
